What will you be doing?

The Data Services team provides specialist data engineering and data infrastructure support services. This data infrastructure and associated products underpin critical decision-making and compliance tools for CCC and PCC. We develop solutions for reporting, data archiving (retired data and legacy applications to comply with data retention requirements) and data migration.

The main functions of the post are:
To act as a technical, customer-focused resource for data engineering tasks required to archive data from retired applications with a statutory requirement to retain the data.

To act as a technical, customer-focused resource for data engineering tasks required for data migration work/scripting.

To act as a technical, customer-focused support resource for data issues relating to business IT applications supported by CCC and PCC, enabling a quick and effective service to users and, as far as possible, problem-free operation.


About you

We are looking for a candidate with in-depth knowledge and experience in data migration projects from complex and diverse business systems, in particular social care systems and CRM systems. Advanced SQL and data modelling skills alongside an understanding of data retention policy would be a distinct advantage.
