About the role
As an Operations and Strategy Manager you will be a champion for agile working practices, enable teams to achieve their goals and support GIA's strategic programme. For you, this role is an opportunity to work with and shape high performing teams through continuous improvement.
You will work in a shared leadership set-up within GIA's Chief Operating Office organisation, which has three distinct teams: Digital Audit, Audit Analytics Center of Expertise and Professional Practices. You will steer these teams in the most appropriate agile working practice and where relevant, adhere to GIA's minimum standards and principles for the execution of audits. As part of your daily work, you will steer teams to achieve their sprint goals. Be an advocate of oneness and encourage strong collaboration across the Management Team and department.
Furthermore, you will act as a change leader and remove impediments that teams cannot. Fostering a strong performance culture where team members hold each other accountable for efficient and high-quality work delivery.

About You
Education and experience:
- University degree
- At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years working as a scrum master or agile coach.
- Experience of agile working practices with both technology/analytics teams and business teams (i.e. non-IT).
- Experience in using data to drive improvements.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Agile certification such as PSM or equivalent
- Change management certification such as PROSCI (preferred).
- Experience working with/in internal audit or similar function (preferred).

- Superb interpersonal skills and solid attention to detail.
- Critical thinker that sees the "big picture" (e.g. overall themes, trends, goals), generates innovative ideas and solutions to problems and makes recommendations in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances.
- Professional communicator, able to gain and maintain a trusted relationship while delivering difficult messages
- Team worker, able to listen to others but also influence in order to see the wider picture and achieve a vision
