About us
McGrocer is an online grocery platform that offers a convenient way to buy groceries that people crave. We enable customers to buy their favourite groceries from one or multiple stores in a one-stop shop, including specialist products they can't find in major stores.
As a Grocery Shopper, your primary responsibility will be to pick up customer orders from local stores, such as Boots, Sainsbury's, Asda, Tesco, M&S, and Superdrug, and carefully pack them in boxes for delivery. As an independent partner with the flexibility to choose when you’d like to shop, the main job requirements include:
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated local stores.
- Paying attention to expiration dates and product condition.
- Safely transport the orders, following all traffic regulations and guidelines.
- Pack the items securely in boxes, taking care to arrange them in an organized and presentable manner.
- Verify order accuracy and completeness before sealing and labeling each box appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Valid full driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for transportation.
- Proximity to shopping centers such as Buchanan Street, Argyle Street, Princes Square, and Silverburn (within a 10-minute drive).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry grocery items of various weights.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility in working hours to accommodate peak shopping times and changing demands.
- Knowledge of local stores and their layouts is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with ecommerce platforms and basic office software such as G-suit.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry grocery bags or packages.
- Comfortable using mobile phone to followup your shopping list, scan and upload receipts
- Able to pass a background check
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 10 per week
Pay: £10.00-£11.00 per hour
