About the role

  • Process payments to suppliers and members of staff efficiently through the appropriate systems, following Council procedures.
  • Provide guidance to Family Services staff on the process to be followed in requesting goods and services.
  • Deal effectively, clearly and accurately with all payment enquiries ensuring procedures and systems are followed
  • Provide general support and advice on budget processing matters ensuring compliance with policies and systems.

About you

  • Educated to A Level/level 3 NVQ or equivalent experience
  • Numeracy to GCSE level
  • ICT skills:

Competent and confident in the use of standard Microsoft Office products with good skills in the use of Excel for developing financial spreadsheets

Ability to handle confidential/sensitive personal information in an appropriate and secure manner

Proven ability to use Financial Management Systems to a competent level (desirable)
