We have a vacancy for a Part Time and Full Time Dispensary Clerk to join our friendly and supportive team. We are based in the beautiful market town of Blandford Forum, a short drive from Wimborne, Poole, Dorchester and Bournemouth.
As a Dispensary Clerk you would be expected to project a positive and friendly image to dispensary patients and other visitors and deal with queries in a professional, courteous and efficient way.

Dispensary Admin Tasks
- Collection of prescription charges/checking patient exemption statements
- Cash handling
- Maintaining full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions
- Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with Practice guidelines
- Handing out prescriptions in accordance with Practice policies
- Dealing with patients and pharmacies face to face, by phone and email in accordance with practice policies
- Undertaking other reasonable duties within the framework of the post
Our ideal candidate would have:
- Experience of working in a public reception environment
- Experience of telephone switchboard operation
- Experience of dealing with the public
- Excellent keyboard and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness and common sense
