Welder
We are an established main contractor, based in Glasgow and Manchester, undertaking new build, refurbishment and insurance reinstatement work within the industrial, commercial and retail sectors throughout the United Kingdom.
Due to continued growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Welder to join our structural steel fabrication division. The role will be full time on a temporary contract with the opportunity of the contract becoming permanent depending on performance.
Required: Time served welder to do mild steel fillets and butts using MAG in a steel fabrication shop in Govan working on structural steel. The ability to use drills would be a bonus and the candidate would be expected to occasionally buff / paint steel. From time to time, you will be required to attend site and when that occurs, any associated costs will be reimbursable to you. Reporting to the Steelwork and Cladding Manager, your duties will include for the following:
Duties include:
· Use of rota broaches
· MAG Welding
· Oxy/Propane burning
· Marking and measuring of structural steel
· Use of workshop bandsaw
· Use of hydraulic punch/cropper
