We require a team of people to help assist our team of tent erectors in pitching/striking of a large tented village for the Open Golf in Hoylake, Wirral. The village is based in Hoylake.

You will need to find your own way there and back. Hoylake train station is a 100 yards away from the tented village. Local buses are close by. Free parking will be available on site.

Job Description:

You will be part of a large team who will be assisting our team of staff in pitching / striking a large number of tents mainly 2 & 4 man tents for the Open Golf Tented village. You will also be expected to insert camp beds/mattresses into the tents.

Days required to work:

We require assistance on the following days, at the following times each shift will last for 9 hours and has a ½ hour unpaid lunch.

Saturday 8th July 0900-1800

Sunday 9th July 0900-1800

Monday 10th July 0900-1800

Tuesday 11th July 0900-1800

Wednesday 12th July 0900-1800

Thursday 13th July 0900-1800

Monday 24th July 1000-1800

Tuesday 25th July 0900-1800

Wednesday 26th July 0900-1800

Thursday 27th July 0900-1800 (subject to change)

You do not have to be available for every day. Likewise, if you cannot do one of the other days this is not a problem and will not prevent us from employing you.

Other

• Onsite along with some online training will be given on how to pitch the tents.
• Free Car parking is available on site. It is your responsibility to get to the site each day on time.
• Please wear suitable clothing including footwear as we still work if it is raining. Therefore waterproof jacket, trousers and proper footwear.
• Likewise, if it is hot and sunny please wear / bring sun cream.
• Please bring your own food and drinks as there is nothing on site and with ½ hour for lunch, there is not enough time to leave the site to get lunch.
• There will be daily targets of the number of tents we expect to be pitched / taken down by the team of erectors. If we manage to beat these targets we may finish early and you will still get paid for the whole day.
• If it is really bad weather (heavy rain) we may have to postpone work and therefore your hours may be extended so the work can be completed on time.

Pay Scale

£95 per day for over 21+ years old for 8.5 hour day

£75 per day for 18-20 Years old for 8.5 hour day

If you are between 16-17 years old you may be considered but at a rate of £50 per day for 8.5 hour day.

You will be paid on completion of the work on Monday 31st July direct into your bank account.

You must have a right to work in the United Kingdom and your wage is subject to HMRC Taxes and NI if thresholds are met.

Confirm Availability

Please can you let me know by Sunday July 2nd 2023 which days you are available to work.

Please also include your full name, age if under 21, bank details and a mobile contact number. I will email you back by Tuesday 4th July confirming which days we require you to work.

If after accepting the work you decide you are not available for a day or no longer available, this is not an issue as long as you contact me so I can offer the work to the next person.

Having completed the work I am happy to provide references should you need them.

We are a family company based in West Sussex and we create tented villages for between 10-2000 people all around the country throughout the summer. Past Villages include the Olympics 2012, British Grand Prix, Open Golf Championship, Isle of Man TT races
