Ongoing recruitment Casual Crew Member
The Cresset are a theatre and events venue which has been established in Peterborough since 1978. The Cresset merged with YMCA Trinity Group to become a trading subsidiary of the charity in 2014.
We play host to over 120 live performances each year, and operate a thriving community Bar & Restaurant, public shops and services and outstanding conference & banqueting facilities.
While having a commercial focus to ensure our contribution to the charity, The Cresset also aims to support community activity and operates a growing performing arts programme designed to give opportunities to young people across the region.
The role of Crew Member We are currently recruiting for staff to join our busy team as Crew Members on a casual basis.
Crew members play a crucial role in the assisting the team with show setups and breakdowns. You will assist in making sure the auditorium is set to the Show/Events requirements to a high standard and be at hand to support with additional tasks & duties that may be required, working as part of a team. For example.
- Cleaning after an event
- Tidying up of the stores
Hours that you work will differ, shifts are offered to the team on a casual basis, and are circulated to staff via the fortnightly rota prior to events.
Shifts range from 2-6 hours long. Depending on the volume of Events / Shows that we are hosting and your availability.

In summary you will have the following qualities:
- Be Reliable, Hardworking and Trustworthy
- Be able to meet the necessary health and safety standards
- You must be able to attend any training sessions provided to you to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- And be prepared to work unsociable hours. These may include overnight turnarounds, and weekdays
