Attendance and Family Support Officer
Salary: OAT – Attendance 2- Grade 6 Points 20-25 (£28,371 - £32,020 FTE) Pro rata Actual Salary £25,029
37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Ormiston Denes Academy is at an exciting stage of its journey, with a recent Ofsted report and results which demonstrate its continued improvement. As a result of a promotion, an opportunity has arisen for an Attendance and Family Support Officer. You will manage student attendance, ensuring the academy meets statutory obligations and academy targets in order to contribute to raising achievement. You will need to be highly organised, with excellent communication, interpersonal skills and IT skills with a strong commitment to school improvement. The post holder should preferably be familiar with attendance regulations and should be able to advise staff, management and stakeholders accordingly. A high level of flexibility, commitment and dedication is required.
You will:
- Lead on Attendance, carrying out and coordinating the administration of Attendance to improve attendance rates and achieve the highest standard of educational achievement possible.
- Have experience of maintaining confidentiality and handling matters with sensitivity and discretion.
- Have experience of managing a heavy workload & conflicting priority to deadlines whilst also be able to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain constructive relationships with parents/carers when exchanging information, facilitating their support for their child’s attendance, access and learning and supporting home to academy and community links.
