Job description
John is quick and very active and enjoys competitive sports. You will have a very high level of fitness, be a quick mover, quick thinker with excellent communication skills, and have a physical presence. You will need to be able to work on your feet all day and walk briskly up to 10-12km per day. The role is best suited to male PAs (personal assistants), although we welcome inquiries from anyone mindful of the challenges when working with a young man with an autism diagnosis.
John lives in his own home close to his childhood home, and has 24/7 1:1 support from his team of PAs. It is helpful to live within 30” of SW12 for on call etc.
You will have a bubbly personality, and be creative in coming up with new activities and things to do with John and his peers (he enjoys discos and raves, as well as gardening and singing.) You will need to be a strong swimmer and able to play football, participate in wall-climbing etc. John also has a small rescue dog who is a valued member of the team, so must be confident with dogs and also a non-smoker. A love of music, karaoke and animated films is a must.
