John is quick and very active and enjoys competitive sports. You will need to be able to work on your feet all day and walk briskly up to 10-12km per day. The role is best suited to male PAs (personal assistants), although we welcome inquiries from anyone mindful of the challenges when working with a young man with an autism diagnosis.

John lives in his own home close to his childhood home, and has 24/7 1:1 support from his team of PAs. It is helpful to live within 30” of SW12 for on call etc.
You will have a bubbly personality, and be creative in coming up with new activities and things to do with John and his peers (he enjoys discos and raves, as well as gardening and singing.) You will need to be a strong swimmer and able to play football, participate in wall-climbing etc. John also has a small rescue dog who is a valued member of the team, so must be confident with dogs and also a non-smoker. This is a great opportunity for the right person to join a remarkable team of energetic, enthusiastic, creative PAs. John’s PAs highly recommend this role, and said, “this is a chance to be a part of an exceptional and extremely bespoke care working environment, with a Team Leader, and strong family involvement, where an attitude of constant communication and support is practised, and also reflected in our training and outcomes.”All the team receive a package of annual (paid for) training, including first aid, and also specialist training including NAPPI and positive behaviour support. There are weekly team meetings with access to a specialist clinical psychologist, on call support during working hours and access to counselling through our HR provider. You will be a highly valued member of a team and greatly appreciated for the unique contributions you will make to John’s life.
