Our client is looking for a Junior Software and Support Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team in Edinburgh. This is a varied role which would be a fantastic opportunity for those with a keen interest -or are looking to take the next step in their career- in Software Development. Whilst they are looking for someone who has some prior experience, the company will support you every step of the way with on-going mentorship, a training budget and support provided by senior members of the team, in order to ensure you are able to effectively progress in your career trajectory.

Key responsibilities:

• Working on projects which delve into all stages of software development process, including coding and testing in order to produce high quality functioning code for clients.
• Speak to customers and respond to any technical queries or questions they may have about products.
• Working with a variety of tools including GIT, Jira, and Confluence, within an agile environment.

Looking for someone who:

• Has 1-2 year's experience in a similar role (i.e., software engineering or test engineering).
• Has a working knowledge of some or all of the following core technologies: ASP.NET MVC and SQL Server.
• Has a solid understanding of Object-Orientated programming principles and design.
• Is looking for a career in software development and is driven to learn and continuously improve their knowledge and skill set within the industry.
• Preferably has a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer science, computer engineering or a similar field.
