Responsibilities:
- Recruit, induct, and train employees in alignment with Subway® brand's training requirements, setting a high standard of performance through leading by example.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimize efficiency.
- Check deliveries, match orders, and manage daily banking transactions.
- Prepare necessary paperwork related to stock and sales, maintaining accurate records.
- Handle employee pay and timesheets, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Manage cash balances and minimize wastage to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Subway® and council guidelines, maintaining a safe and compliant environment.
- Perform inventory management and stock control, including weekly stock take and generating reports for analysis.
- Utilize the Weekly Sales & Inventory Report to identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Maintain store cleanliness and presentation through regular housekeeping activities.
- Implement in-store marketing material and point-of-purchase (POP) displays in line with promotional campaigns.
- Foster a culture of exceptional customer service among employees, resolving customer complaints and inquiries promptly.
- Demonstrate product knowledge, drive sales, and cater to customer needs effectively.
- Promote a safe work environment for employees and customers, following safety procedures.
- Deliver high standards of service while handling products, sales, and catering to customer needs.
- Previous experience as a Catering Manager, Store Manager, Restaurant Manager, Supervisor, Assistant Manager, or Deputy Manager, preferably within a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of inventory management and financial processes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving targets.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
