This role is part of our Personalised Creative team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more!
JOB PURPOSE:
Although we are not actively hiring, we are looking to build a talent pool of freelance Copywriters to assist us as we enter one of our busiest periods of the year.
As a Freelance Copywriter, you will write and shape onsite and CRM content for key accounts in the UK. From eBay to Uber, you support the wider team by working closely with key stakeholders to produce creative marketing copy that showcases our clients' voice, furthers their brand story and converts. You may also be responsible for proofreading and editing content as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Alongside client stakeholders and other copywriters, you will:
Edit and shape copy to ensure it meets client expectations and brand voice guidelines
Produce copy that drives the brand narrative forward and meets briefs
Ensure consistent messaging and brand expression throughout all campaigns
Engage and capture the attention of our clients' customers on high-visibility assets
Act as a key collaborator and bridge between client and internal team
Create clear, effective, and original copy and content for our clients onsite and CRM marketing
Develop creative ideas and concepts across various channels where applicable
Adhere to clients' tone of voice and brand guidelines
Research competitors and trends for creative inspiration
Collaborate with design and account management
Contribute to team creative brainstorms
SKILLS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of experience as a copywriter is a must, and a background in agency or brand is preferred
Experience in the e-commerce/retail environment is a plus
In-depth knowledge of multi-channel digital copy and brand development, especially a background in social media content and copywriting
Ability to write compelling marketing and content copy that sells
Confidence in working with other departments and stakeholders such as designers, developers, and clients
Readiness to work at a fast pace on large marketing campaigns with many assets
An understanding of the importance of consistency across different touchpoints of a user journey
Ability to present work to large groups and communicate ideas clearly and enthusiastically
