A great opportunity has arisen for caring, honest and motivated individuals to join the team at Associated Wellbeing as a Healthcare Assistant. We are looking for motivated and compassionate individuals to help support children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties. We are looking for candidates to have a good understanding of mental health, either through career or personal experience, and can effectively listen and empathise with the children and young people that we care for. The Elms will have a range of interventions available to the young people we support and the provision is designed to have 4- 12 week assessment beds and 6 – treatment beds which may be young people completing a full DBT therapy package.
The successful candidate will carry out a range of assigned duties, this involves direct care and observation of the young people under the guidance and indirect supervision of qualified staff. You will report observations made to the qualified staff whilst providing high-quality person-centred care to young people. You will supervise activities, leisure and education while providing details of mental state and risk factors. You will work with young people on a 1-1 or group basis to help identify and establish new skills to manage emotional dysregulation and distress.
