We're looking for an ABAP Development Manager!
We'd like to bring someone in to work as part of the Reckitt SAP Competency Centre to work on the ABAP development aspects of the Reckitt SAP template. An exciting time for here at Reckitt as we undergo a large IT Transformation and continuous Global SAP Deployments within an ever increase product portfolio.
IT&D Manager ABAP Development
Slough, Berkshire
Hybrid working patter with international travel.
Based in our Manchester office on hybrid basis, you'll be mentoring junior staff whilst providing expertise in ABAP Development, JAVA and you'll have an awareness of API and Middleware systems. The goal within this role is to Extensive, demonstrable experience in ABAP ensure that the validated state of the system is kept intact with respect to documentation and process, keep the system audit compliant and allow the ability to upgrade without the need for changing SAP outside the current template.
You'll be working alongside the SAP Competency Centre members to govern the SAP template, coaching junior members of the team, coordinating with global initiatives and you'll be the primary contact for out systems implementation partner (IBM) with respect to technical SAP topics.
What we're looking for is:
Technical:
- Extensive, demonstrable experience in ABAP
- Solid understanding of the application modules areas of ECC6
- A thorough understanding of user-exits/BADIs is required along with integration options around non-SAP systems Practical experience of supporting SAP and related solutions
Functional:
- Experience of working in a global organisation
- Ability to consult with stakeholders and subject matter experts to acquire appropriate business requirements
- Ability to establish meaningful business relationships both internal and external business partners
Behaviour:
- Creative problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative to drive and deliver results
- Language skills desirable
- Process oriented, articulate and enthusiastic, capable of confidently presenting to higher Management teams, working closely with vendor team members, Architects and Project teams with end to end responsibility
