What we're looking for
- An individual who can effectively communicate how Employer Sponsored Health & Welfare Benefits work (e.g. Health, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, Disability, etc.)
- An individual w/ ‐ experience working w/ General Agents
- An individual w/ ‐ experience working w/ Small and Large employer groups
- An individual w/ ‐ experience configuring and maintaining Benefit‐Administration system/software (e.g., Ease, ADP)
- An individual w/ ‐ experience reading carrier source materials (e.g SBC, Certificate of Insurance, Carrier summary)
- An individual w/ ‐ knowledge of federal COBRA law
- An individual w/ ‐ knowledge of Pre‐Tax Benefits (e.g., FSAs, HSAs, HRAs, Commuter Benefits)
- An individual w/ ‐ data entry experience
- An individual w/ ‐ experience interfacing w/ customer contacts by phone and email
Job Description
Serve as the daily face of Vita at client accounts. Responsibilities include ownership of client experience outcomes and solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Ownership of client experience and outcomes - Command and manage all aspects of client accounts, including client NPS
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients at an administrative level, as well as some at a decision-making level
- Build lasting relationships with insurance carrier partners and work directly with them on quotes/renewals;
- Solutions-oriented client planning and execution - Proactively work with clients to understand their needs to ensure they are engaged and getting the most value from all of Vita’s services, facilitate client meetings, as well as present new hire and OE meetings
- Build/update accurate cost models
- Proactively manage renewal process
- Confirm all necessary compliance processes and documentation
- Manage all policies, certificates, and contractual agreements
- Be an advocate for our clients and drive for resolution all claims and issues as they arise
- Engagement in training and development of other team members (e.g., Sr. Benefits Specialists)
- Show consistent growth in knowledge
- Ability to learn and utilize our Customer Service Management (CRM) system to maintain accurate service tracking and client information
- Meet or exceed all established performance standards
Requirements
- Effective communication skills via phone, email and video calls
- Able to work proactively both independently with minimal direction and collaboratively across multiple functions both externally and internally
- Able to prioritize tasks in accordance with company and department goals
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to multitask
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
- Excellent management skills and ability to practice discretion
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
- 3+ years in employee benefits account management
- Health, Life, Accident Insurance Producer license preferred (required w/in 90 days of start)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 apps (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Dynamics CRM) a plus, but not required

Rewards
Starting salary dependent on location, experience, and education. An excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, long‐term disability, life insurance, 401(k) plan, and a comprehensive wellness program (with incentives) is offered.
