The Staying Home Service manages around 2000 properties dedicated to improving the lives of people living in specified accommodation for over 55’s across Warrington and St Helens.
The Staying Home is a service, tailored to individual needs, that helps our older customers living in bungalows and flats in St Helens and Warrington remain independent, stay in control of their lives and enjoy a better quality of life.
The Staying Home team are on hand offering a little extra help for people to live independently for as long as possible in their own home.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for leading both Staying Home Teams, ensuring positive contributions to the groups overall corporate objectives[RW1] .
The position is a full time, permanent position, 37 hours per week.
The successful applicant will be based primarily at Torus Central but may be needed to work out of other offices depending on the needs of the business.
This is an important role in which you will:
- Lead a professional and dedicated intensive housing management service to people living in accommodation specifically designated for an older person.
- Share own knowledge, skills and professional updates with team members to support up-skilling and development within the team.
- Support team members to empower residents and clients to positively engage in support services that promote financial independence, raising aspirations, gaining and maintaining successful tenancies and ultimately reduce tenancy failure.
- To lead on a case management approach and to prioritise team members work load.
- Respond to and manage crisis situations, ensuring that appropriate support is available for staff and clients.
- Motivate and inspire team members to positively engage in team meetings and one to ones.
- Participate and actively contribute at management team meetings and other forums.
- Actively manage own performance and that of the team utilising performance frameworks and data.
- Ensure team members are maintaining comprehensive records through case management in QL to capture and record client risk assessments, support plans and outcomes which can be used to demonstrate the impact of the service.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Motivate, lead, empower and inspire team members and to demonstrate the core company behaviors.
- Promote safety and protection of vulnerable adults by ensuring that all safeguarding issues and concerns are reported promptly in accordance with Local Authorities and Torus Safeguarding Policies.
- Participate in multi-agency meetings, working groups and other meetings and forums.
- To build relationships of trust and respect with external agencies to promote the brand reputation of Torus.
- To work collaboratively with other departments and colleagues to ensure processes are streamlined and coordinated to reduce duplication and maximise efficiency to achieve business objectives.
