About the role:
The Head of HR is responsible for developing and executing on HR strategic and operational objectives for the Intelligence and Cyber International (ICI) Division head-quartered in Tewkesbury, UK with another major location in Brisbane, Australia.
In collaboration with the I&C Sector and HR functional teams, the role is to provide guidance, advice, and execution support for a broad array of HR strategy, operations, issues and challenges.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Develops and executes HR interventions to satisfy organisational requirements
- Serves as a trusted business partner to the ICI team on all matters related to the business
- Collaborate with greater HR function and US Centres of Excellence (COE) to implement and support a cohesive HR strategy
- Links HR initiatives to business strategy
- Ensure all HR reporting is delivered accurately
- Builds cross-functional teams that foster collaboration and innovation
- Manage in country HR Managers to ensure activity is co-ordinated and delivered consistently across ICI where appropriate.
- Own all HR reporting to a segment level on behalf of the sector ensuring it is delivered accurately
- Leads transformational change management initiatives
- Working with the COE's to ensures best practices relative to Total Rewards, Organisational Development and Talent Management practices
- Effectively communicate and promote HR and business strategy to all levels of the organisation
- Anticipates, investigates and remediates employee relation issues, building strong programs to support and build a positive employee culture
- Innovative leader who promotes diversity and inclusion
- Leads by example with unquestioned credibility, judgment, character and ethics
- Work with established HR shared services within the segment
- Grow and develop the HR team while participating in enterprise wide initiatives
Experience & Skills:
- Bachelors’ Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field.
- Substantial experience of progressive HR with experience in a management and leadership role, preferably over international divisions.
- Experience working in the Aerospace and Defence industry is a preference, though operating within a complex, international, matrix structure business will be considered alongside this.
- Demonstrated track record of building strong business relationships with business leaders
- Strong commercial acumen
- Thorough understanding of recruitment, talent management and succession processes and tools
- Strong and keen attention to detail at all times
- Able to work at a granular level with the same enthusiasm as overseeing the implementation of HR strategy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering presentations to all levels of the organisation
- MCIPD qualified preferred - not essential
