A Childrens Practitioner post has become available in the 8-18 multi-Agency team based at Osmaston/ Allenton Children Centre and Stanley Road.


Derby City Council CYP Directorate are seeking a Children's Practitioners based within the 8-18 multi-agency team, with a focus on early intervention work.


The post holders will work with young people over 8 years of age and their parents/guardians to ensure their safety and well-being.
The successful candidate will hold a caseload and work as lead professional in a flexible manner to improve the outcomes for young people and their families. You need to be a strong team player who is able to deal with potentially challenging and emotional situations.
The role will include carrying out detailed assessments of the family's strengths and individual needs.


You will be required to have two year’s experience of working with a range of vulnerable young people and their families.


You must be able to travel to different locations within the City of Derby and could be asked to work evenings and weekends on occasions.

All employees will normally be appointed to the minimum of the grade for the job. For reasons connected with a particular need of the Council it may be appropriate, subject to approval, to appoint to a higher point in the pay grade.
