- Permanent role based in Stratford upon Avon
- Salary of £30,000 per annum on appointment with potential to quickly reach £40,000 subject to performance

Overview:
Roquefort Therapeutics PLC has a modern laboratory in Stratford upon Avon where it undertakes oncology research and development activities.
We are seeking someone who can support our siRNA work and experiments so you will have skills and experience in immunology, cell biology and/or molecular biology.
The role may be particularly suitable to Research Technicians aiming to develop their career with a growing company.
In time, we want our scientists to develop into Senior Scientists and become our future leaders.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute experimental plans, write and present technical reports and begin to analyse data.
- Contribute to the drafting, development and maintenance of SOPs.
- Work under supervision to be responsible for preparing and conducting experiments.
· Contribute to initiating and designing experimental plans.
- Ensure that experiments and studies are scientifically sound and in line with current regulatory guidance and expectations, raising, where necessary, issues which may cause delays and assisting with resolving any such issues.
- With assistance from senior colleagues, prioritise and manage workload to ensure key targets and objectives are met.
- Follow company and other policies and guidance at all times.
Key requirements:
- BSc or MSc in biomedical sciences/related field and at least one year of relevant industry experience.
- Background in working independently in cancer biology and using gene silencing techniques.
- Proven experience and knowledge in some or all of :using cancer cell lines,
functional assays such as cell proliferation,apoptotic assays,migration and invasion,interaction with endothelial cells using angiogenesis assay and co-culture of cells,cell biology techniques such as cancer cell culture, gene silencing by siRNA, Flow Cytometry, Western blotting, RT-qPCR.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, time management, organisational and written/ oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Windows and Office based applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Demonstrable ability to work independently with initiative, enthusiasm and motivation and proven well developed problem-solving skills.
