The Role…
The person in this role will be an important support to the Product & Sales Executive as well as a key team member for the rest of the Sales & Marketing department.
Responsibilities:
· Support the Sales & Product Executive with sales and marketing operations ie:
o Record & update product records with new data, as it arrives, in the company product database
o Prepare customer quotes
o Complete new customers forms
o Provide information/data to customers when requested
o Upload product data and imagery to customer websites when requested
o Organise shipping product samples to customers / key stakeholders
o Support with organising and attending annual toy fair events/exhibitions
o Regularly check images, videos & copy are up-to-date on all customer websites
o Update, organise & maintain Sales & Marketing file storage on Dropbox
o Provide support with ad-hoc image &/or video editing
o Monitor & replenish stock of product samples in the office
o Manage phone calls & correspondence where required (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
· Support the Product & Sales Executive in supervising the Sales & Marketing Assistant with day-to-day tasks
· Prepare company sales data analysis in Microsoft Excel & convert into easy-read report format for the Directors
· Assist the MD and senior Sales & Marketing team with all necessary and any ad-hoc tasks
This role is office based in York and working hours are 8.30am – 5pm, Monday-Friday. Looking to start this role ASAP
The Successful Candidate must have:
We know that great people learn new things quickly, but we would love it if you have some/all of the below experience and skills:
· At least 2-3 years' work experience in an operational Sales & Marketing environment (essential)
· Experience managing or supervising people (essential)
· A very keen eye for attention to detail (essential)
· Very organised, proactive and strong time management skills (essential)
· Confident, professional and friendly manner with a desire to help; a team player (essential)
· Reactive and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment at peak times (essential)
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint & Word & very comfortable working with IT systems (essential)
· Experience editing videos and images, preferably with Photoshop, Photopea, iMovie &/or Canva (essential)
· Minimum BA(Hons) 2:1 in a Business related subject, or equivalent in experience (ideal)
· At least 1 years’ work experience dealing with consumer goods and products (ideal)
· Experience working in the Children’s Toy industry (ideal)
· Experience working with company senior management and/or directors (ideal)
· A great communicator and a natural on the phone with experience handling inbound and outbound calls (ideal)
