These are exciting opportunities within a great team where no two days are ever the same. In the IKEA world, we call this position a Sales Co-Worker. Expected Starting Date: 15th May 2023. WHAT WE OFFER• £10.90 basic hourly rate.• IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer.• Flexibility on availability to be discussed during interviews.• We offer permanent contracts, advanced scheduling and regular weekends off. CONTRACTSPart Time - 16 hours working 4 days out of 7, late evenings and 3 out of 4 weekends. We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers. This role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY• You provide an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.• You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings.• You are always passionate about the range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.• You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.• You are competent with IT, Microsoft office, using the internet and relevant programmes to support selling to the customer.• You will have a combination of administrative work, meeting the customer and preparing for next days delivery. • This is a physically demanding role which involves manual handling and walking throughout the store.
