York High School is looking to appoint an inspirational teacher with a proven record of outstanding practice, or the potential to become outstanding with our support, to work within our science team.
Members of the Science team at York High School work together towards shared team goals, aiming to inspire practical scientists who can apply their knowledge and skills to a variety of scientific and real-world challenges to make an impact on the world.
The successful candidate must have the ability to teach across the age and ability range, and inspire, motivate and challenge young people. They will also have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to contributing to the personal development of all the young people we teach.

York High is a mixed 11–16 school serving a genuinely comprehensive intake. The last 4 years have seen rapid and sustained change with the school earning a ‘good’ judgement from Ofsted in September 2022.
