The Resourcing team within the People Services Hub is a centralised recruitment function responsible for providing a high-quality end to end recruitment and onboarding service for the University, managing a wide range of vacancies including academic roles, administration roles, finance and business services roles and estates roles within the Walton Hall campus at Milton Keynes and across the nation offices in Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resourcing Assistant based at the Milton Keynes campus. The purpose of this role will be to support key elements of the recruitment processes and will include a wide range of tasks.
These tasks will involve , handling and supporting applications for candidates, answering and triaging queries, arranging and supporting selection and assessment activities, responding to complex recruitment queries, issuing contracts and completing pre-employment checks, and liaising with hiring managers and stakeholders throughout this process. You will also collaborate with our Nation based offices to support their recruitment campaigns.
Although this role is aligned to our Milton Keynes office, we are flexible on location across the UK, but will require occasional attendance onsite at either our Belfast, Milton Keynes or Manchester offices.
Skills and experience
You will be highly motivated, positive and a good administrator with excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills. Strong I.T and organisational capabilities in addition to using initiative to prioritise work and meet deadlines are also a requirement.
You will understand the need for, and maintain, confidentiality and sensitivity always as well as having the ability to exercise initiative and sound judgement to take ownership of tasks seeing them through to completion.
