Costs Draftsperson / Costs Lawyer, Manchester, Salary Circa £40K + Excellent Benefits Package

We are recruiting for a skilled Costs Draftsperson/Cost Lawyer to join a specialist law costs department within a large regional commercial law firm.

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrable experience of:-

• drafting bills,
• schedules of costs,
• all aspects of Cost Budgeting ,
• preparing Points of Dispute, Replies
• support both internal and external clients by providing first class drafting and advisory services in relation to costs litigation.

You will be competent in taking matters to Provisional / Detailed Assessment. You will monitor and ensure compliance with Court deadlines and Service Level Agreements and provide assistance where necessary to other members of the Litigation and wider Teams in respect of all costs matters. You will monitor costs-managed cases to ensure that litigation is completed within budgetary constraints.
