We are seeking a Research Assistant to work on a feasibility trial of a programme to support the development of executive functions in toddlers with a family history of autism or ADHD funded by a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Castang Foundation Advanced Fellowship awarded to Dr Alexandra Hendry. The post is fixed-term, full-time for up to 20 months. If preferred, there may be an opportunity to convert the role to part-time (to a minimum of .6 FTE).
The post holder will play a key role in the feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of START. Activities will range from recruiting and scheduling participants and collecting behavioural data through to analysing data and presenting results. The varied portfolio of activities will suit individuals with a keen interest in developmental cognitive psychology and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Successful applicants will need to hold a first degree in Psychology or a related discipline. They should have excellent communication, team working, and organisational skills, and the ability to manage their own research and administrative activities. Experience of collecting data from, or working with, infants or young children with developmental conditions or other special educational needs is desirable.
