What will you be doing?
As a Sewerage Operator you will be part of a team working to maintain our sewerage network to meet quality and customer service standards in accordance with wastewater procedures and work instructions.
You will work with customers to resolve incidents and will be responsible for accurately collating and submitting feedback information from site, such as incident forms. You will be responsible for your own health and safety as well as that of your team and any contractors, customers and the general public around you.
This role involves routine maintenance as well as reactive work and because we provide a 24-hour service this will include stand-by arrangements.
What are the requirements?
Although the below is advantageous, training will be given to the right candidate.
Firstly, we are looking for a team player. Ideally, you will already hold or be willing to undertake QCF in sewerage operations.
You will be competent in the operation of a single man jetting unit and CCTV equipment, while also being confined space working certified or willing to be trained to undertake this work. A Streetworks certification for working on the highway would also be advantageous. Other skills include basic IT knowledge, PC literacy and customer focus.
Possession of a valid driving licence is essential. You will also be able to work in pressurised environments, 45 hours per week. A conscientious and committed approach will ensure you continually provide a high-quality service with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and exceeding performance targets.
