Repair Technician

- Receives defective product and makes appropriate entries in computer.
- Troubleshoots Cargo and Extreme units by performing visual inspections and repairs or replaces defective products or components by operating handheld drills, impact wrenches, pneumatic overhead crane and various other handheld tools and equipment.
- Correctly documents part and repair details on internal and external forms.
- Assists with training of new Technicians.
- Aids in all other facets of daily operations as needed.
- Provides refurbishment and cleaning services according to quality standards to ensure unit is ready for rental upon completion.
- Fills out detailed forms and enter data into spreadsheets and databases as needed.
- Requests needed parts and supplies from supervisor as needed.
- Performs housekeeping duties to maintain department safety and organization in accordance with the Job Safety Checklist.
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent specific work experience to successfully accomplish job duties.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and/or installation of equipment.
- Excellent basic math skills and good written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and be a team player who is willing to go above and beyond to help others.
- Ability to manage multiple repairs at once and demonstrate organizational skills and ability to prioritize job tasks.
- Ability to operate small hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, utility knifes, tape guns, glue guns & drill, impact drivers, sockets, wrenches, and other specialty tools.
- Ability to be certified and operate overhead suction crane and forklift.
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to read and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
- Must be able to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, work instructions, SOP’s and engineering memos.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting heavy items and work in tight spaces.
- Associates degree in a technical field.
- Forklift certified.
- SAP experience.

- Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels and from various disciplines including operations and engineering.
- Must have the ability to complete assignments within the timeframe specified by the Manager.
- Must be flexible regarding working hours and overtime. Must be able to work overtime on evenings and weekends, with or without advanced notice.
- Must be able to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
