Central Penn College is seeking a full-time Assistant Registrar at our Summerdale campus. This position is responsible for providing courteous customer service to students, alumni, and faculty in need of services from the Records and Registration office. The Assistant Registrar reports directly to the Registrar and assumes responsibility for certain office operations and assures compliance with college policies.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Process requests for academic transcripts and name and address changes.
- Assist with scheduling first term students and schedule changes.
- Enter grade changes and other records into the Student Information System.
- Coordinate with Transcript Evaluators and Financial Aid on student transfer credits and adjustments.
- Index documents accurately in the document imaging system.
- Monitor the National Student Clearinghouse website daily and process requests.
- Assist with planning and preparation of annual commencement ceremony and assist at event.
- Miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties.
- Assure compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience in higher education
- Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and organizational and planning skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records
- Manual dexterity needed for PC keyboard and other office equipment
