Test Publishing Quality Assurance Analyst (TPQA)

The Test Publishing Quality Assurance Analyst (TPQA) ensures that exams function reliably so that clients and candidates do not experience any issues with the exam. The TPQA Analyst does this by verifying and validating exams against specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete full and detailed checks on all tasks using Pearson VUE’s test driver software
  • Run full end-to-end quality checks of exams using Pearson VUE’s proprietary software
  • Review and check exams for consistency with source files
  • Provide detailed feedback on any issues found
  • Provide detailed, timely, efficient tracking and reporting on all assigned projects
  • Ensure documentation of systems and processes is kept up to date
  • Work closely with other relevant teams to create effective test packs for product assessment, to develop procedures for streamlining the QA process, and to document procedures and maintain the QA system environment
  • Plan work effectively to ensure that deadlines are met and tasks are completed to the highest quality

Secondary responsibilities

  • Pro-actively analyse and make recommendations to improve exam publishing and processes, tools and templates
  • Pro-actively plan for the future attainment of goals
  • Complete other tasks as required, including personal objectives, requested reports and administration requests
  • At all times, throughout all tasks, request support, assistance and guidance when needed.
  • Maintain good technical knowledge to allow all basic computer and team tasks to be completed effectively

Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Higher educational qualification, preferably in a technology-related field
  • Experience and understanding of QA methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Detailed, logical and common-sense approach to daily tasks, objectives, goals and projects
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • A high-energy approach and ability to work quickly
  • Problem identification and solving skills
  • The ability to work in a dynamic team environment coupled with the ability to successfully communicate to all audience types and across multiple cultures.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexibility related to workflow and changing priorities
  • Flexibility regarding working additional hours to meet client needs and to work with colleagues globally

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

  • Working experience in Windows and a Microsoft network
  • Experience in forecasting and prioritising assigned tasks
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodology

Working Arrangements

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Hybrid Working (Occasional visits to the Manchester office may be required depending on business needs)

Salary

This role has an annual base salary of £26,249.50
