We are seeking speculative applications for a number of tradespeople within the areas that we operate. This is an important semiskilled role in which you will:
Ensure all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.Be responsible for overseeing stock purchase orders raised and ensuring re-order levels are assessed regularly within the agreed parameters and seasonal changes.
Purchase stock within the agreed budgets and alert warehouse Manager when a budget is exceeded.
Maintain a process for returns. Manage a defined area in the warehouse for returns/credits. Area to include damaged and un-saleable goods.
Oversee and assume responsibility for the warehouse stock system and Electronic ordering system.
Observe the correct buying protocols and liaise with HMS buying and purchasing team to maximise efficiency.
Coordinate and oversee vehicle stock within the business, producing accurate and analytical data.
Observe correct stock receiving protocols ensuring goods are fit for purpose, of good quality and accurately receipted and checked at the point of delivery
Manage regular stock takes a perpetual stocktakes at shop floor level in accordance with agreed plan to ensure stock accuracy.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have experience in a warehouse environment with management of stock
Be willing to be proactive in the continuous improvement of a quality service
Have experience of activity associated to warehousing or materials management
Be able to demonstrate initiative when dealing with situations and completing tasks
Have good communication skills which enable the post holder to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
Forklift truck licence is desirable
Full UK or EU driving license is essential
