The Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership draws on the intellectual breadth of the University and an international network of leading thinkers and practitioners to help members of business, government and civil society understand pressing issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, resource depletion and social inclusion ¿ and develop responses that help themselves and others.

The role
We're looking for an exceptional individual to support our portfolio of executive education programmes for a diverse range of multinational clients. You will have experience working in a business environment, supporting senior leaders to build and apply new insights and capabilities to enable them to create long term value and impact across complex systems. As well as broad insight into sustainability drivers and the commercial implications for business, you will be a confident presenter and communicator, with the ability to curate and deliver engaging and high impact education programmes. You will have the confidence and capability to engage and influence senior decision-makers across business and academia, to understand needs and priorities, to know what great looks like in the transformation required of business to meet societal needs, and to lead teams to deliver this.
Key skills and experience:
- Qualification in relevant field to degree level or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience of working in fields related to sustainability and a strong understanding of how sustainability affects strategy and leadership within businesses.
- An understanding of how adults learn, and insight into effective approaches to learning design and education delivery, particularly in sustainability related education - including face to face, virtual, blended and digital methods.
- Experience of leading project teams in a fast-paced environment, including working collaboratively with colleagues from across organisations and networks.
- Experience of working with senior leaders in the corporate sector, creating and leading successful new, commercially relevant initiatives, products or services for a client or organisation.
- An ability to analyse and understand client needs and design and deliver solutions that meet these requirements and deliver impact.
- A good understanding of how to create powerful and engaging narratives that influence others, and confidence in public speaking and presenting.
- Ability to play a leading role in creating and empowering a mutually supportive team with a strong and vibrant culture and sense of identity.
- Excellent relationship skills and a proven ability to build, grow, and maintain relationships with key leaders.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, highly proficient in spoken and written English.
