Role Description

Festival Republic is the UK’s leading festival and events promoter. We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated individual to assist in the coordination and implementation of the PR strategy for the company’s portfolio of festivals and events.

We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic and focused individual to join our PR/Comms team in London as a Public Relations Coordinator.

Based in the London office, you will report to the PR Manager working primarily on festival campaigns including Reading & Leeds, Wireless, Latitude, Wilderness Festivals and more whilst working closely with the Marketing, Digital and Sponsorship teams.

You must have a good knowledge of the music and events industry. A genuine passion for live music is a must as you will be required to work onsite at festivals and events during the summer which include some evenings and some weekends.

  • Prior professional public relations experience (job/internship)
  • A demonstrable passion and understanding for different types of media
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Copywriting and proof-reading abilities and great verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and enthusiasm for UK and European festival markets and events

What the role includes

  • Assisting in the coordination and execution of PR campaigns across all festivals and events
  • Assisting in the day-to-day management of PR agencies
  • Assisting in the day-to-day maintenance of relationships with journalists, media partners and wider music industry as well as cultivating new ones
  • Monitoring and reporting of press coverage of UK festivals
  • Building relationships with national and regional charity / community partners
  • Coordinating onsite press and media partnership activity at all festivals
  • Managing onsite filming / photography requests
  • Copywriting and proof reading of press releases and other press materials
  • Responding to media enquiries, including interviews and press quotes
  • Organising press events including launch parties
  • Acting as an ambassador for Festival Republic attending gigs, award shows and other engagements
  • Maintain updates on overall PR calendars and internal asset procedures (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.).
  • Compile various weekly and monthly PR/Comms reports for ongoing activity, project launches, internal meetings, etc.
