An exciting opportunity has arisen for Pharmacy Assistant who is keen to develop new skills and broaden their experience to join our developing pharmacy team within Justice Healthcare, GP Out of Hours Service and Forensic Medical Service. The post holder will be based in the Health Centre at HMP Perth however there will be a commitment to HMP Castle Huntly, HMP Bella Unit, GP Out of Hours Service and Forensic Medical Service.
The role of the Pharmacy Assistant is to assist with the accurate and timely processing and supply of medicines within the services, participate in the control and distribution of medicines and the ordering and invoicing of medicines. The post holder will ensure quality of service and efficient management of all prescribed, non prescribed and sundry supplies.
You will be expected to have an NVQ in Pharmacy Services level 2 or equivalent accredited qualification to meet the regulation requirement of the General Pharmaceutical Council.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
