Position: Finance Manager – Luxury Retail Business
Based in Central London offering flexible hybrid working
Paying £60,000 – 70,000 (DOE) + bonus and benefits

As the Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the company while providing strategic insights to support business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
- Inventory Management:
- Work closely with the inventory team to monitor stock levels, inventory turnover, and cost of goods sold.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and improve operational efficiency.
- Cost Analysis and Control:
- Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and track cost budgets.
- Financial Forecasting and Modelling
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of business initiatives and investment opportunities.
- Provide financial projections and scenario analysis to support business planning.
- Audit and Risk Management:
- Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, wit several years relevant retail industry experience
- Financial Expertise: Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis. Experience with luxury retail metrics and performance indicators is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to draw meaningful insights from financial data.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards excellence.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Tech-savvy: Proficiency in financial management software, ERPs, and MS Office Suite. Experience with retail-specific software is a plus
