Position: Finance Manager – Luxury Retail Business

Based in Central London offering flexible hybrid working

Paying £60,000 – 70,000 (DOE) + bonus and benefits

As they continue to expand their global presence, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our team and contribute to their continued success.

As the Finance Manager, you will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of the company while providing strategic insights to support business growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and forecasts.
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and optimize resource allocation.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
    • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Inventory Management:
    • Work closely with the inventory team to monitor stock levels, inventory turnover, and cost of goods sold.
    • Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses and improve operational efficiency.
  • Cost Analysis and Control:
    • Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining the highest quality standards.
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop and track cost budgets.
    • Financial Forecasting and Modelling
    • Develop and maintain financial models to assess the impact of business initiatives and investment opportunities.
    • Provide financial projections and scenario analysis to support business planning.
  • Audit and Risk Management:
    • Coordinate annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors.
    • Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience, wit several years relevant retail industry experience
  • Financial Expertise: Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis. Experience with luxury retail metrics and performance indicators is advantageous.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to draw meaningful insights from financial data.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team towards excellence.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Tech-savvy: Proficiency in financial management software, ERPs, and MS Office Suite. Experience with retail-specific software is a plus
