The Role
- Manage the new starter and leaver process, including preparing contracts, carrying out right to work checks and preparing new starter and leaver paperwork
- Obtain and ensure satisfactory KPMG reference checks are completed for all colleagues in line with company policy. Liaise with external provider to ensure relevant staff obtain DBS checks.
- Setting up new starters on required internal systems, including: Enboarder (onboarding), Jobvite (recruitment), TeamSeer (absence management), SD Worx (payroll) and DDS (finance)
- Responsible for keeping employee data accurate up to date eg. job title changes, salary increases, line management changes etc.
- Working with Comp & Bens team to ensure monthly payroll paperwork is collated and processed accurately
- Providing support for visa applications and visa audits by checking all visa records are correct and up to date
- Responsible for maintaining and updating the Talent and People page of Global Minds (internal intranet)
- Responsible for monitoring probation end dates and completing paperwork confirming probation passes
- Assist with the administration of our training programs; including organisation of training dates, managing training room bookings, sending calendar invites to attendees, tracking attendance and collating feedback
- Administration of Culture Amp – our performance development platform
- Providing admin support on ad hoc People projects and initiatives
- Note taking during formal meetings e.g investigation meetings
- General administration: filing, maintaining employee records, photo copying, updating handbooks, policies and benefits information etc.
Experience & Skills
- An understanding of the People function and the importance of it
- A passion for starting a career in HR
- Previous administration experience desirable
- The ability to multitask is critical
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly organised
- A strong communicator who can speak to senior stakeholders and members of the business with ease
- Able to apply discretion and confidentiality
- Happy to work in a fast-paced environment
