Full Job Description
What you'll do
- Site inspections, audits and follow up visits to ensure the implementation of corrective recommendations
- Support accident and incident investigations and provide recommendations for preventative measures through the development and distribution of incident reports
- Assist management to identify safety related training needs for operational personnel and assist/mentor in the delivery of training where required
- Monitor on site sub-contractor compliance
- Execute and maintain administration protocols in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding in all areas of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality disciplines
- Support ISO and other recognised standards Audits
- Participate in the creating and reviewing of polices in line with the business and ISO standard requirements
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of risk assessments, safe systems of work and other regulatory documentation to ensure EHS&Q compliance is maintained
- Assisting garage managers in communicating business compliance requirements
- Arrange regional Health, Safety & Environmental Committee meetings
- Provide support to other EH&S Business Partners and other areas of the business as required
What you’ve got
- Experience in auding & auditing techniques
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable
- Able to work with high attention to detail
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalate
- Certificate in environmental management e.g. AIEMA
- Preferred O Licence CPC manager competence OLAT as a minimum
- Full UK drivers licence
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge and understanding of HGV of LGV vehicle operations
- Experience in a garage or other engineering discipline
- Be willing to travel throughout the UK and Northern Ireland as required
- Practical experience of internal auditing
- Have a working knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001. ISO 27001 & 50001 advantageous
How you will be successful
- Provide a proactive and positive approach towards supporting all Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality requirements of the business
- Supporting the Garage network: Regional Directors, Regional Operations Managers and Garage Managers to enable them to meet their obligations and complete e.g. accident or incident investigations, red flag reports or audit actions etc.
- Being able to interpret legislative obligatory documents, policies and procedures
- All administrative tasks will be completed correctly and accurately in line with procedures
- All technical standards have been maintained, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
- Working with support functions to ensure workers, visitors and subcontractors comply with company, customer and legal requirements, to ensure compliance is enforced and maintained
- Maintains a professional appearance and behaviour

Salary: £37,500.00-£40,000.00 per year
