Here at P&O Ferries we continue to grow and have a newly created Head of Freight Customer Services Sales which we are looking to recruit.

This is a key position within P&O Freight business as we continue to create, strengthen, and grow our brand image. In this role as Head of Freight Customer Service you will be responsible for leading the teams and providing them with direction and support. This support may take on the role of mentor, helping to develop the team through close support, personal development, and training.

You will play an integral role in developing successful strategies for the Freight Customer Service Departments, setting their targets and establishing measurable guides to monitor the departments success:

Location – home based/remote with travel to Dover as and when required

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage all activities relating to the delivery of effective customer service.
  • Strategic relationship with the capacity management function to maximise contribution on vessels.
  • Consult with other department heads across the organisation.
  • Implement and maintain effective methods for gathering customer satisfaction data.
  • Develop plans and targets for the customer service team.
  • Delegate tasks to team leaders to ensure the smooth running of the department
