Part time Band 4 Patient Navigator / Medical Secretary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Allergy & Immunology Service for an enthusiastic and well-organised Patient Navigator / Medical Secretary to join our team . You will be responsible for providing an effective administrative support service for both the consultant & nursing team.
The work involves assisting with the delivery of patient letters, turnaround targets, managing waiting lists and booking outpatient appointments. You will be dealing with incoming queries, day-to-day administrative duties including waiting list and patient pathway management.
To provide effective secretarial support to both the consultant and nursing teams.
To support the nursing team with organising and the booking of outpatient appointments, this will include contacting patients, so excellent communication skills are required.
To support the assistant service manager with waiting list and PTL management, identifying areas where targets are not achieved.

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of an effective administrative and secretarial service to the clinical team within the service.
The post holder will also actively coordinate the administrative processes of patient pathways within the Allergy & Immunology Team, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their Allergy/Immunology treatment at the Trust. The role involves providing an effective clinical administrative service to the team.
The post holder will liaise with the multi-disciplinary team, internal departments and external agencies to ensure continuity in achieving excellence in patient care.
