We have contracts ranging from 16 to 39 hours a week.
WHAT WE OFFER
- IKEA is a Living Wage Foundation Employer (£11.95 an hour).
- We operate 7 days a week and so full availability to work at agreed times in the evening (latest finishing times being 22:00pm) and weekends essential.
- For full-time contracts, working 1 in 2 weekends is required. For part-time contracts, working 3 in 4 weekends is required.
- Flexibility on availability and contract size to be discussed during interviews.

WHO YOU ARE
You are confident in approaching customers, treating them in a polite and friendly manner. You have an entrepreneurial spirit, a motivated mindset, and enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Ideally, you will have a knowledge of the IKEA Concept and Values, and if you don't just yet, you have an eagerness to learn more. In IKEA, we place great emphasis on leading others and ourselves with a positive approach, even during the busiest and most challenging times.
This is a physically demanding role at times, and focused very much on providing a good service to customers. As well as this, the role is focused around working to deadlines and targets, so you will have experience and enthusiasm to work in this setting.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY
- You actively approach customers to identify their needs and advise them on the best solutions for their life at home through home furnishings
- You are always passionate about our product range and home furnishings, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
- You support maximising sales by being proud of your areas of responsibility, ensuring the customer meets an area that is clean, well presented and easy to shop.
- You will ideally be competent with IT to use planning tools and relevant programmes to support selling to the customer.
