Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a professional, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Neurology Team.

Your role is instrumental in the running of our department in assisting the team which consists of four vets and three registered nurses.

There is a lot of potential in this role to grow, use initiative and take on additional responsibilities resulting in becoming a highly specialised PCA. These responsibilities include preparing patients and kit for spine and brain surgery, handling laboratory samples including cerebrospinal fluid, and setting up the electrodiagnostic machine.

There are many hospital-wide teams and groups that you can be involved in, for instance the green team, infection control and team voice that focus on particular aspects of patient care/hospital policies. You have the opportunity to be part of changes that positively impact our patients, the team, the hospital and the planet.

Hours:

40 hour working week; 5 x 8 hour shifts, no weekends, 1 Bank Holiday per year.
