Poultry (Broiler Breeder) Egg Grader
Broiler Breeder Egg Grader for long term position near Norwich.
We are looking for a motivated individual to work on a family run poultry farm on the outskirts south of Norwich. We are looking for a reliable individual who will prioritise animal welfare.
The successful applicant will be comfortable working in a challenging and busy environment. Proven experience in Poultry is required, All levels of experience will be considered.
Experience in a Broiler Breeder farm is preferred but not essential, training will be provided.
The day to day running of a site involves ensuring birds have feed and water, grading eggs, and collecting eggs laid outside of the nest box, while carrying out regular maintenance and checks of all equipment, and following welfare and biosecurity procedure.
This role will focus on the egg grading. this job is mainly removing substandard eggs from the conveyor and operating the egg packing machinery. We have a 7:00am start and the eggs should usually be run off by 12:00/13:00 however flexibility is required as breakdowns or circumstances can extend the work day.
As this is a livestock farm we are looking for someone who will care deeply about ensuring our birds have the maximal welfare standards possible. You must follow our biosecurity procedures dilligently and should not have contact with any birds outside of work.
This is a full time role for a 5 day 40 hour week, Or a part time role that includes at least 4 weekend days per month.
