Salary: £21,711 - £23,868 (Pro rata salary £19,242- £21,154). Incremental progression throughout the band is available
Contract Type: Term Time Only, Permanent | Hours per Week: 37 | Location: City Skills, Lissadel Street M6 6AP
About the Role
The Pastoral Support Team at City Skills is a highly skilled team that works with students and parents to overcome barriers to learning. They provide pastoral support for students on courses ranging from Entry Level to Level 3.
You will work as part of this team, with the special remit to mentor students on our 16-18 Construction courses and provide targeted support and guidance to aid their progression and career choices. You will be required to deliver tutorial sessions around career choices, manage your own diary of 1-1 appointments with students, and communicate with staff, parents and external agencies in relation to progression and career opportunities. You will be expected to promote, participate in and support the college’s enrichment programme and work experience opportunities, including trips and visits when appropriate.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who can produce and analyse data, report on findings and implement strategies to meet the college’s high expectations of attendance, behaviour, performance and progression.
