We are working with an established institution focused on the research and development of new technologies and engineering.
The institution provides research to the science, engineering and technology industries and is considered to be a leading UK practice in these areas.
Having worked with this company in numerous times in the past, they have an excellent, collaborative culture. They look to develop their staff and invest in them for the long-haul. It is also a fast-paced environment.
The Role
My client is looking for an LLB/GDL - LPC graduate with experience in drafting and negotiating contracts such as NDAs and ideally, collaboration agreements and MTA's.
This is not a straightforward admin-based role, but a full-on responsible position drafting and negotiating contracts with blue chip companies. This is a permanent position with a career path in research contracts management.
The institution is based in the Milton Keynes area, outside of town are does require any potential applicant to be able to comfortably drive or take the bus to work for at least 3 days per week.
The Opportunity
While my client would ideally favour someone with like-for-like experience in collaboration agreements and NDAs, they have shown a willingness to consider those with strong academics and a demonstratable interest in commercial law; contracts etc.
This is a chance to really develop your ability of drafting and negotiating contracts as part of a large team working on very interesting subject matter in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- You must be able to comfortably commute to the workplace - this means ideally having a car in the Milton Keynes area (Essential).
- Strong academic attainment (Essential).
- Excellent attention to detail (Essential).
- Experience working with commercial contracts or academic contracts (nice-to-have).
Remuneration
The remuneration for this role is banded and contingent upon your experience.
The lowest end of the salary band is £35,000 per annum.
Flexible Working
You must be able to attend the office on at least their core days.
3 times per week in person. Non-negotiable.
