Introduction
Our client is a multinational professional services company who world with world leading corporations! They are looking for a P6 Planner to join them on a permanent basis!
You will work across the full project planning lifecycle and oversee the planning function on a major MoD project based in Berkshire. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience leading project controls teams on major construction projects along with excellent understanding and working knowledge of Primavera P6.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required on site 2 days a week in either Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, OR Sheffield.
You must hold a LIVE SC clearance and full British passport to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Engage with internal and external stakeholder to gather requirements and define projects.
- Identify key milestones and plan activities to ensure milestones are met.
- Lead across the project planning lifecycle.
- Develop, update, and monitor plans and schedules.
- Ensure best practice project planning standards, tools and processes are adhered to.
- Analyse and resolve risks and issues and identify opportunities.
- Assist the Project Manager on selection of planning approach, tools, processes, and proportionality.
Skills & experience
- Demonstrable experience leading project controls teams on major construction projects.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Earned value management or analysis.
- Critical path analysis.
- Cost loading.
- Risk management.
