The National Eyes Only (NEO) department in Airbus UK space systems is responsible for all proposals, R&D and studies in the domains of spaceborne ISR, SSA, BMD and Protect & Defend. The team also provides key resources to secure implementation projects. Several positions are available for Mission Systems Engineers to work within the NEO team.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

You should have at least 5 years experience of experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Bid management.

  • Study management.

  • Project management.

  • Engineering management.

Alongside, at least 5 years experience in:

  • Spacecraft systems engineering.

  • Passive and/or active RF space missions systems engineering.

  • Optical/hyperspectral space missions systems engineering.

  • Firmware / Software (FW/SW) development.

  • Experience with onboard processing.

ABOUT YOU

  • A degree in Physics, Mathematics, Spacecraft Engineering or equivalent is mandatory. MSc or PhD in a relevant discipline is preferred.

  • Must have the ability to work independently and be an effective contributor in a diversified team.

  • Must demonstrate creative problem solving skills and well within a deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to lead a study team and drive them towards a design solution.

  • Strong communication skills and highly pro-active and innovative.
