Position Summary:
In the absence of Hospital Administration and other members of the Leadership team, assumes responsibility for coordinating activities related to overall Hospital operations and throughput. Serves as a liaison to all Hospital departments and staff to ensure quality service to all customers, reflecting the mission, vision and philosophy of Sinai Hospital.
Essential Functions:
Leadership
Provides overall direction for and coordination of hospital operations utilizing leadership skill
Human Resource Management
Assures that personnel function within standards and expectations. Provides structure and processes to assure that nursing units are staffed in collaboration with unit leadership.
Performance Improvement
Assesses, develops, implements, evaluates and revises standards, policies and procedures to ensure that all customers are provided the care and services dictated by their individual needs.
Clinical Practice
Creates an environment that monitors and adapts to regulatory and practice changes. Personal goals, objectives, and behaviors demonstrate an understanding and commitment to continuous improvement.
Customer Relations
Models the standards of Service Excellence
Throughput
Provides bed assignments and overall direction and coordination of Hospital throughput
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BSN; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- BSN's from CCNE accredited schools
- 2 Years - Leadership Experience
- 3-5 Years - Clinical Experience - should include Critical Care or Emergency Care
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association CPR Certification
- ACLS Certification
- CE as assigned
- Trauma ITR within 1 year of hire
