As one of the largest automotive retail groups in the UK, Vertu Motors is proud to represent 32 of the World's most popular vehicle manufacturers from 185 sites nationwide. Our three main brands include Bristol Street Motors, Macklin Motors and Vertu Motors. Due to our continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a Online Vehicle Buyer to join our ever growing business.
As our Desktop Buyer you will be purchasing vehicles online from our approved list of suppliers via various web based platforms.
The vehicles purchased must fit the stock profile and conform with the stock requirements of the group. All stock purchased must return the required return of investment in line with company budgetary targets.
You will be responsible for dealing with suppliers on a day to day basis not only purchasing vehicles, but ensuring all the relevant paperwork is processed in a timely manner to ensure suppliers are paid within the necessary agreed timeframes.
The buyer will be responsible for handling any issues that may arise from a vehicle being purchased and ensuring all vehicles arrive on site with in the agreed timeframes
The buyer will also take an active part in securing new suppliers we can utilised to increase the number of purchases
This is a remote role and the successful candidate will be based from home.
For this role we are looking for you to have:
- Strong Communication Skills
- Extensive experience of working with web based platforms
- Good attention to detail
- Good knowledge of working with Excel
- Highly self motivated and comfortable with working remotely
- An ability to process high volumes of data quickly to arrive at the correct conclusion
- Approachable and comfortable on the phone
- Capable of working to deadlines and working well under pressure
Experience in the following is preferred but not essential
- Some experience of the used car market
- Previous experience as a used car buyer
- Telephone Handling
- Account Management Experience
