The HR Generalist Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding & probation periods
- Provide HR policy guidance & maintain in-depth knowledge of UK employment law
- Manage employee relations including holidays, absences, disciplinaries, grievances and terminations
- Manage the company benefits
- Provide guidance to company managers regarding performance management
- Learning & development – working across the company to help with and coordinate training plans
- Maintain HR database & other admin such as payroll information, company car details and insurances
- Experience of HR in an SME environment
- An understanding of current legislation and employment law
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal sensitively with related issues and individuals using tact, diplomacy and discretion
- A basic understanding of pensions and insurance benefits in order to manage these schemes
- Living in or commutable to Nottingham
