THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 6 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING.

An exciting opportunity for a Fixed Term/ Secondment Post until 1st September 2023 has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 4 Occupational Therapist Technician to join the Occupational Therapy Team in Ward F Mental Health Ward in Neath Port Talbot within Swansea Bay UHB. This role will involve a delegated caseload of patients on the acute Mental Health inpatient wards, undertaking assessments of patients needs.
Successful applicants should demonstrate the ability to maintain high standards of patient care and be responsible for the promotion and application of Occupational Therapy with professional support from a qualified Occupational Therapist. You will need a specific interest in working in a busy, challenging and complex setting, and hold a level 3 qualification or above.
You will be required to have a flexibly approach to work, to meet the needs of the service, including a 7 day shift pattern, with extended working hours covering 365 days of the year.
For external candidates this post will be offered on a fixed term basis, for internal candidates to Swansea Bay UHB this post will be offered on a secondment basis. The contract will run until 1st September 2023.
Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor Band 4
This role will involve a delegated caseload of patients on the acute inpatient wards, undertaking assessments of patients needs for discharge home which can include the provision of equipment.
Successful applicants should demonstrate the ability to maintain high standards of patient care and be responsible for the promotion and application of Occupational Therapy with professional support from a qualified Occupational Therapist. You will need a specific interest in working in a busy, challenging and complex setting, and hold a level 3 qualification or above.
